Qingyuan Study Visit: Exploring Textile Park Opportunities and Talent Cultivation
The President led the Vice President, members and industry representatives to Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province for a Study Visit from 3 to 5 December 2024. The Group was warmly received by high-level officials such as the Mayor, the Head of United Front Work, the Director of the Commerce Bureau, and the Director of the Industry and Information Technology Bureau. Qingyuan’s development strategy in the textile industry and its future growth potential were introduced in detail. This Studying Tour gave everyone an in-depth understanding of the all-round development of Qingyuan City, especially the potential opportunities of the Textile Park and the long-term plan for cultivating local talents.
The president said that this Study Visit allowed industry representatives to have a deeper understanding of Qingyuan’s industrial environment and realize the local government’s support for the garment industry. This visit not only strengthened the exchanges between Hong Kong’s garment industry and Qingyuan City, but also signed a memorandum of cooperation between The Federation of Hong Kong Garment Manufacturers and the Guangqing Textile and Garment Industry Orderly Transfer Park Management.
