Our Vice President, Ms. Rose Ko, and Director, Mr. Jason Man, attended the seminar “Promoting Trade and Investment Opportunities in Bangladesh”, organised by the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Hong Kong on 10 September 2026. They exchanged views with the delegation led by Mr. Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, Hon’ble Minister, Minister of Commerce, Industries, Textiles and Jute, as well as representatives from various sectors. Hon Sunny Tan, Legislative Council Member for the Textiles and Garment functional constituency, was also invited to speak and shared the concerns and views of Hong Kong’s industry.
The seminar introduced Bangladesh’s economic strengths and development opportunities in its Special Economic Zones and Export Processing Zones. It also highlighted the policy reforms implemented in recent years to improve the local business environment. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions and networking opportunities, the event provided a platform for businesses from Hong Kong and Bangladesh to connect directly and exchange views in depth.
