he Federation of Hong Kong Garment Manufacturers hosted a seminar “Current Status and Development Trends of Cleaner Production Technologies in the Garment Industry” funded by the Cleaner Production Partnership Programme last Friday, and the Clothing Industry Training Authority sponsored the venue. Mr. Thomas Yueng, Vice President of the The Federation of Hong Kong Garment Manufacturers, delivered a welcome speech.
Speakers with rich experience in the application of cleaner production technology and related experience were invited to share how to achieve green manufacturing and sustainable development, including Mr. MA Tsz Yan, Cleaner Production Partnership Program of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, Ms. Kwok Sin Man of CLEAIR GROUP LIMITED, and Dr. Ho Kai Chiu, director of research and development of Hanske New Materials Group Co., Ltd. They respectively shared the “Cleaner Production Partnership Program”, the new smart trend of “Energy Saving. Environmental Protection. Purification” and “Cleaner Production Technology of Functional Additives in Fabric and Garment Processing”.
The seminar provided practical reference and experience sharing for the garment industry to find more environmentally friendly and sustainable production methods.
